Meet the Team Dana Alexander

General Manager

Dana has a wealth of experience in marketing, international licensing and brand development. With a Masters in Consumer and Applied Science she has worked in both commercial and non-profit sectors – including the NZ Green Building Council where she promoted residential sustainability. With a passion for food, good nutrition and wellbeing she will provide strategic leadership to grow Coeliac New Zealand’s consumer membership and industry accreditation of gluten-free products via the Crossed-grain product certification and Dining-Out Programme.

Karen Little

Customer Service Administrator

Karen has been with Coeliac New Zealand since December 2013. She is the person who deals with most enquiries and her role includes CNZ member & volunteer support, event organisation, funding applications and overall office administration. Previous roles include a computer operator with the RNZAF, a short & long-haul Flight Attendant with Air New Zealand and the Rodney Neighbourhood Support Coordinator. Outside of the working environment Karen is a mother to four children, three young men and a teenage daughter. Her interests include running and most sports orientated activities, travelling and history.


Deidre Little

Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Manager 

Deidre is the newest member of our team in the new role of Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Manager - with a specific focus to develop the Dining Out Programme.  Her successful 25 year track record, as a senior Marketer and in advertising, has covered roles in commercial, not-for-profit and charities.  Drawing upon first-hand experience helping family and friends manage a balanced gluten free life with coeliac disease, Deidre will assist the development of new member resources for the future.

Account Services

In December 2015, CNZ engaged the services of Out There Business Solutions (OTB) to look after our financial operations. OTB work closely with CNZ accountants and auditors to ensure a complete, transparent and accountable financial operational system is in place for CNZ and that we have a continual desire to improve and streamline our systems to meet the needs of members, customers, suppliers and regulators.
